The Hadar Foundation was launched in the framework of the Joint international convention, in the Argentine town of Mar del Plata, on May 10, 2006.
The Jewish people is too often known through either myths or misinformation. There is a need to explain its role and the role of Judaism in shaping human civilization, and to explore the unique relationship that Jews have maintained with their surrounding world throughout the ages.
Since it frequently happens that the organizations that should be devoted to this endeavour are not active enough, the Hadar Foundation was created in 2006 in order to explain the contribution of Judaism and the Jewish people to humankind, and to present the case for Israel amidst a regularly hostile media.
The Hadar Foundation‘s World Honorary President is Spanish author Pilar Rahola, and its director is Israeli author and educator Gustavo Perednik, who has lectured in fifty countries about Judaism and Modernity.
